Lipotherme™ Laser by Osyris: Information for Laser Lipo Physicians

Next-generation laser-assisted lipolysis device for body sculpting and contouring

Use the Lipotherme laser lipo workstation from Osyris Medical USA for laser liposculpture of the chin, jowls, arms, back, abdomen, hips, thighs, knees and ankles. According to Osyris' website, the lipolysis laser energy is delivered by optic fiber into the hypodermis and elevates the temperature. This launches the destruction of fat cells (adipocytes), initiates skin tightening and decreases side effects, thanks to the coagulation of small vessels.

Wavelength and Power

The Lipotherme continuous wave diode laser operates with a unique 980-nm source filter that emits from one to 25 watts of power in a continuous wave, unlike some lasers that emit pulsed waves. Variable power allows physicians to customize the treatment for each patient and body area. For example, 15 W might be appropriate for the thighs, hips, and buttocks, while 6 W might be appropriate for the chin, arms and knees.

The 980-nm diode laser has been rigorously tested and is proven to be a highly efficient choice for patient safety, satisfaction and throughput.

FDA Approval

The Lipotherme laser is FDA approved for laser lipolysis.

Delivery Mechanism

The Lipotherme laser uses a 600-µm fiber, and its specially designed, patented cannula assures homogeneous results.
