Body-Jet Water-Jet Assisted Liposuction

Body-Jet liposuction is water-assisted liposuction, meaning that a spray of water prepares and loosens excess fat cells for easy removal. It also is referred to as "water lipo" or "H2O lipo" and offers a new gentle technique for body contouring and sculpting. Body-Jet water-assisted liposuction harnesses the healing power of water.

This method is a gentle, effective and minimally invasive procedure. Patients feel little discomfort. It can be applied to multiple areas of the body during the same session, and after the surgery patients feel smoothed skin without the pain and bruises found in some liposuction procedures.

The Body-Jet water-jet-assisted technique was developed to avoid the problems associated with tumescent infiltration used in standard liposuction procedures. Tumescent infiltration causes tissue swelling, which lowers operative accuracy and can result in serious side effects. Body-Jet liposuction gently washes away the fat without traumatizing other structures such as blood vessels and nerves.

Body-Jet Liposuction: How It Works

Traditional liposuction techniques are designed to destroy fat cells, but Body-Jet loosens them without damage. Instead, medical-grade water solution pushes apart sheets of fat cells at their weakest points, rather than manually breaking them apart and causing tissue trauma. Body-Jet uses minimal infiltration fluid to loosen fat cells-only 25% of the volume typically used with standard liposuction. Surrounding structures such as blood vessels and connective tissues remain intact, making the procedure less invasive and more comfortable, while delivering significant contouring and slimming results.

This results in less bruising and swelling, improved comfort, decreased tissue trauma overall and shorter recovery time. The surgeon controls the amount of pressure throughout the procedure, which simultaneously injects water into the body while taking the fat out.

• Less manual pressure is needed to remove the fat.
• Conventional liposuction techniques do not necessarily get rid of cellulite, and many patients pursue other treatments such as Vela Smooth® or Endermologie® to optimize results. Body-Jet can eliminate that second step.

Body-Jet Liposuction Results

Because incision sites are relatively small, patients heal and recover easily within a few weeks, and some sport bathing suits without worrying about scars! Some patients report a significant reduction in cellulite and body fat removal after their surgery; this can be especially beneficial for individuals who are of average weight and want to get rid of unsightly bulges while losing the excess pounds.
